More than history. More than a performance. More than a story.

Chautauqua History Comes Alive
Coffee and Conversation

Wednesday June 19 – Saturday June 22
9:00am – 10:00am

  • Andrew Jackson, Wednesday June 19
  • Alexander Hamilton, Thursday June 20
  • Malcolm X, Friday June 21
  • Jackie Kennedy, Saturday June 22

During the June Chautauqua History Comes Alive Festival you can pick the brains of the nationally acclaimed historical performers at the Upcountry History Museum. No costumes, no script, just a chance to have some personal time and dialog with the performers – over free coffee.

Each morning features a different performer/historical figure. Often the other performers and Chautauqua staff also join in the fun. And if you come to multiple Coffees, you begin to see how the 2019 “It’s Revolutionary!” historical figures relate to each other.

Admission to the event is Free! When the event is over, the Upcountry History Museum will be open. If you are not already a Museum member, admission to the Museum is $10 adults, $9 seniors and $8 for children (4-18) and 3 year old and younger are free.
