Noon – History Speaks: Textile Mills

“History Speaks” allows YOU the chance to share YOUR stories! We want to hear about your past, and for the September program we will explore the life of textile mill villages.

There will be a presentation from our senior docent, Charles Blakely, with a display of local mill artifacts. Afterwards, there will be time for everyone to share their own personal stories, memories, and experiences.

This program is great for all ages and it is included with your general admission. Snacks and beverages will be served.

2:30 p.m. – Kid’s History Camp: Baseball

Allow your kids the chance to get hands-on with history! Learn about America’s pastime and it’s direct influence on life in the Upcountry. After exploring our history we will create a craft for children to take home, and if the weather is nice, enjoy a game outside on the Heritage Lawn.

To register (limit of 30 kids), please call (864)467-3100.

Cost per participating child is $10.

UHM Members – $2 per participating child.

Recommended for children ages 6-12.

One adult per family is free and younger siblings need only pay regular admission.
