We do not have a café at the Museum; however, there are a number of options nearby. There are cafes located at the Library and the Children’s Museum, both on Heritage Green. There is also plenty of space to picnic on Heritage Green. In the case of inclement weather, there is limited space available in the Pepsi Lounge for lunch.
Can I register for all the sessions now?
You may register for all the sessions at once if you wish to ensure space for your student(s). However, the Museum cannot offer refunds for cancellations.
Is there an age restriction for the programs?
While there is no specific age restriction, programs and associated activities are suitable for students from ages 8 to 16. Lists of recommended reading materials will also be provided on UHM’s homeschool blog (http://uhmhomeschool.blogspot.com) and lists will be organized by age level.
Can I register for the UHM programs and the BJU M&G programs at the same time?
Each institution will register and track students separately, so you will need to contact BJU M&G directly to register for their programs. To register, please contact Rima Hourani at 864.770.1331 or rhourani@bju.edu.
Do students need to bring any materials to the programs?
No. All materials are provided by the Museum and are included with the cost of the program.
Can a homeschool group register for one of the Museum's standard programs?
Yes. As long as you have a group of at least 12 students, you may schedule any of the programs listed on our School Programs page. Programs can be scheduled Tuesday through Friday to begin between 9:30 and 1:30. Pricing is the same as the other homeschool programs ($3 per person).
