Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind the scenes at the museum? Who comes up with the ideas for the exhibits? Where do museums get all those artifacts? How did the people at the museum find out about this topic? We want to invite you to enjoy four great mornings on Heritage Green at the Upcountry History Museum (UHM) and the Greenville County Museum of Art (GCMA) to find out the answers to these questions and more! Campers will begin their week at the Upcountry History Museum on Tuesday and Wednesday where they willl earn about the history of Upcountry South Carolina, make Early American crafts and learn about what goes on "behind the scenes" in a history museum. On Thursday and Friday, the campers will spend their mornings at the Greenville County Museum of Art touring the galleries,learning more about the "behind the scenes" portion of an art museum,and making a miniature museum using crafts and art they made during the week. WHEN: HOW MUCH: $85 for members of UHM or GCMA, $95 for non-members Release forms must be filled out and returned to the museum on or before the start of camp.
