10:30 a.m. – Toddler Time with Elsa


Join our expedition to go Under the Arctic! Explore our newest exhibit, Under the Arctic: Digging into Permafrost and meet the Snow Queen herself. Elsa will be at the Museum from 10:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. There will be games designed just for your little ones, snack and juice for story time, plus a fun scavenger hunt. Feel free to wear your own costumes and celebrate Halloween a little early!

Children ages 3 and under are FREE.


Noon – History Speaks: The Dark Corner

“History Speaks” allows YOU the chance to share YOUR stories! We want to hear about your past, and for the October program we will explore “The Dark Corner.”

Enjoy a special screening of the ever-popular film, The Dark Corner, and afterwards share your own personal stories, memories, and experiences.

This program is great for all ages and it is included with your general admission. Snacks and beverages will be served.


2:30 p.m. – Kid’s History Camp


Allow your kids the chance to get hands-on with history! After exploring our history we will create a craft for children to take home.

To register (limit of 30 kids), please call (864)467-3100.

Cost per participating child is $10.

UHM Members – $2 per participating child.

Recommended for children ages 6-12.

One adult per family is free and younger siblings need only pay regular admission.
